Time to get Reacquainted!!

These last few months have been eye-opening & wild. Because of that, I've grown and shifted just like my blog. I've noticed that I was always stuck in a cycle of getting a trial, freaking out about it, fixing the problem, and then continually letting it haunt me. I realized that it wasn't healthy. I would see the lesson but the question "why does this happen to me?" continued to haunt me... and for what? Nothing! Unfortunate things happen all the time! To everyone! I was constantly living in a victim mentality and it was awful! I didn't like who I was, so I have been putting in the work.

So this is a slightly more long-winded version of my old "Author Q&A" but instead of repeating information you may already know, we'll do something different!

21 facts about me:

1. I celebrated the milestone of my 21st birthday on 06/24/2022!

2. I'm a Cancer - a June baby.

3. Three things I love: drinking maté with my family, having a really good devotion, and spontaneous laughs

4. Three things that make me happy: enjoying the water, having a cozy night, and watching fireworks at Disneyland.

5. I speak Spanish. Believe it or not, I am Latina haha!

6. My life motto is "Do no harm, yet take no sh*t".

7. My favorite food is mí abuelita's pozole, which I have now mastered the art of making.

8. My celebrity crushes are Gerard butler, Keanu Reeves & Hugh Jackman - I call them the Holy Trinity of Hollywood.

9. My current TV obsessions are Emily in Paris, Supernatural & Stranger Things.

10. My favorite perfumes are Grace by Philosophy, Flower Bomb by Viktor&Rolph, and Champagne Toast from Bath & Body Works.

11. I'm a total nerd! I'm a total encyclopedia of useless information - Random song lyrics & biology facts, pop culture references, book series, historical fiction, Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter, Star Wars, poetry, Egyptian history, Civil War history, American history, John Wick series, Tombstone, Top Gun, etc.

12. My favorite scripture is 2 King 2:2, "As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee."

13. I work as a caregiver at an assisted living home! I love my residents. It's like adopting a bunch of grandparents!

14. I have so many favorite movies but the ones that come to mind when I think about it are Midnight in Paris, Pride & Prejudice, Blended, King Arthur, The Other Woman, Under the Tuscan Sun, Top Gun: Maverick, etc. (I'm a total movie junkie! I love series but these are just stand-alone movies I like.)

15. My lucky number is 6.

16. I must be Bigfoot's daughter because that's the only way to explain my size 11 shoe size.

17. I love archery! My dad got me into it right before I started college. We have Celtic ancestors who were horseback archers.

18. My favorite place is Southern California - I love the beaches, I have family down there, Disneyland, and just so many cool things to do. Always an adventure when I go!

19. Something that I recommend everybody tries (at least once) would be a Monte Cristo sandwich. It sounds gross but it is so good! I'm a total foodie haha.

20. Music is everything to me. I love going to concerts: Summer Set, Simple Plan x2, All Time Low, Depeche Mode, Vista Kicks, and Olivia Rodrigo.

21. My favorite quote from the summer of 2018 is by a woman named Marianne Williamson.

So that's a wrap on my updated "Author Q&A". I'm so grateful for a platform that allows me to express myself in a way that is authentic.
